MY STORY

Hi, I’m Sophia.... and I get that reaching out to a sleep consultant is a big step. It usually means you’ve tried everything, exhausted, overwhelmed, and not sure where else to turn. I know that feeling, because I’ve lived it.

I had my first baby at 22 and the sleep deprivation nearly broke me. My marriage ended, my mental health collapsed, and I swore I would never do it again. For 14 years I didn’t, because I was terrified of history repeating itself.

Fast forward to now and I’m a mum of two, my daughter, who’s in her final year of high school, and my son, who’s two years old. I’m parenting at both ends of the spectrum: teenage independence and toddler chaos. It’s messy and beautiful all at once.

When I was pregnant with my son, I was determined not to go through the same torture I did the first time. I wanted answers. Why do some babies sleep easily and others wake every 45 minutes? What’s really happening in their brains and bodies?

So I dived into the science... circadian rhythms, cortisol and melatonin, sleep pressure, infant development. And I learned something life changing: unless there’s a medical issue, every baby can sleep well at night. But it doesn’t happen with one-size-fits-all advice. Babies need tailored, specific approaches that respect their biology and individual temperament.

That’s when I decided not to just hire a consultant, but to become one myself. And what I found shocked me: this industry is unregulated. Anyone can call themselves a sleep consultant with zero training. That is so dangerous and parents deserve better than that.

So I trained through the most respected academy in the world, taught by paediatricians, psychologists, lactation consultants and researchers. I built my practice on evidence, biology and developmental science, and I made sure I was properly certified and fully insured to work with families around the globe.

Now I help families all over the world. And I don’t say this lightly.... what I do changes lives. Sleep deprivation isn’t just “hard”, it’s a form of torture.

It destroys mental health, wrecks marriages, and makes good parents feel like they’re failing. Helping babies sleep isn’t just about resting. It’s about survival. It’s about giving parents and their babies their lives back.
